Scenario: Top Chef has reinvented itself in an effort to remain competitive with the other reality cooking shows. Top Chef 2.0 will keep several components from the original series and add some other challenges, which include fashion and home decor.
21st Century Shopping - Clothing and Home Decor
Task #1: Break up into two teams and decide who will shop for clothes and who will shop for home decor items. Each group will have to select items for each contestant's wardrobe. Additionally, groups will also use graph paper to sketch the Top Chef 2.0 set, calculate the square footage and furnish it with props and furniture.
Clothing
1) Shop online to find styles and prices (round to the nearest dollar)
2) You will need to purchase 5 different outfits for each person in your team
3) Calculate the total cost for every item of clothing
4) Calculate the average cost per person
5) Calculate the average cost per person for each of the five scenes of the reality show
6) Decide how the wardrobe items will be displayed for the finished artifact
7) Decide how the team will display the math calculations
8) Create the finished artifact
Home Decor

Task #2 - Your team of four will divide the shopping duties as you work as a team to quickly purchase the following ingredients online:
Fruits - 13 oranges, 2.5 lbs Fuji apples, 5.75 lbs Gala apples, 6 pears
Vegetables - 3.25 lbs tomatoes, 4.75 lbs potatoes, 4 heads of green leaf lettuce, 3 lbs purple onion
Deli - 5.5 lbs roast beef, 2.5 lbs provolone cheese,
Dairy - 6 containers of sour cream, 5 blocks of cream cheese, 2 gallons of milk, 5 pints of yogurt
Condiments - small mayonnaise, small ranch dressing, small honey mustard dressing, small italian dressing
Snacks - 5 bags of tortilla chips, 3 bottles of salsa, 4 bags of potato chips, 2 containers chip dip

Frozen Foods - 10 bags of corn, 3 pie crusts, 2 containers of vanilla ice cream, 1 container cool whip
